Carnaval Miami 2013 Recap
Calle Ocho 2013 fue un excito! What a great turn out with the return of Willy Chirino, performances by Hansel y Raul, Carlos Oliva, y muchos mas. We also paid tribute to our original festival 'Open House 8' at our Chivas Regal stage to celebrate Cuban culture and honor the sounds of Miami in the 70's.
"Para mi regresar a Calle Ocho en este 2013 es como estar en Casa. Desde sus inicios, CALLE OCHO ha formado parte del orgullo de esta, nuestra ciudad y lo seguira siendo. Es en realidad la FIESTA LATINOAMERICANA mas celebrada en nuestro MIAMI."
- Willy Chirino, 10 de marzo, 2013.
Sangria, delicious food, music, y colores! Wepa!
Carnaval on the Mile 2013
Walking the mile this year was great fun with sights and sounds featuring great artists and performers. Great performances were given by the Revivalists, Shamarr Allen, Poncho Sanchez and our King of Carnaval Ed Calle closed the show Sunday night.
Featured artist (and Carnaval Miami poster artist) Tony Mendoza was signing posters and taking photographs with fans. Other featured artists Gilda Sacasas, Leonor Murciano, Dania Sierra and many more were also showcasing their art
Tired guests recharged at the VW Lounge or got pampered at the L'Oreal Paris station with free hair styling.
